The Finally Friday Pop Quiz!

Paige Johnson (2013)- West Forsyth High School
Paige Johnson was our first participant, and I will be forever grateful.  I picked Paige because I knew her Mama so therefore knew she had some "raisin'" (Southern term- check your glossary).  As you can see above, she is a varsity cheerleader for the Titans as well as a member of...well, click here to find out more!

Hannah Forbes (2013)- RB Glenn High School
Hannah was hand-picked by a gaggle of her toga-clad classmates to be our second participant this year.  She is a volleyball and soccer player for the Bobcats among other things.  All of our Pop Quiz participants have great personalities, but Hannah is the only one whose personality jumps off the page at the reader and slaps them upside the head.  Kind of.  Read more here!

Bailey Tyner (2014)- RJ Reynolds High School

Mr. Tyner was our first Junior to participate, recommended by his Athletic Director.  Bailey is not only the starting quarterback for RJR, but a member of the Key Club and FCA.  Perhaps the most telling thing about the kind of guy Bailey is happened after his Pop Quiz was posted.  I approached him moments after a tough loss to East Forsyth, just to thank him for his participation and encourage him going forward.  He thanked me, shaking my hand and displaying a maturity and poise normally not befitting a Junior in high school.  Read more about Bailey Tyner here!

Allie Hopkins (2013)- East Forsyth High School
Coach Mike Muse of East Forsyth got the assist for obtaining our next participant.  Allie is the senior class president at East and also a longtime varsity soccer player.  Allie was selfless in touting the greatness of the East Superfans (the very loud, well-traveled student section).  She is a great representative for the East student body and her school in general.  More on Allie is found here!

Catherine Wayne (2013)- Mount Tabor High School
Catherine Wayne is cool.  I wanted to hire her on the spot.  So should you.  She was recommended for the Pop Quiz by her principal (who says she needs to send me a new picture, hint-hint).  She is not an athlete, but she does not have time to do that, anyway.  She is the student body president at Mount Tabor and also helps lead Tabor City- and that's serious, serious bidness.  Not quite as serious as messing with her water bottle, but serious nonetheless.  More on Miss Wayne is found here!

Caroline Wooten (2014)- North Davidson High School
Caroline was picked after she sent a "thank-you" email to Finally Friday for covering her school.  That, my friends, is awesome.  This varsity cheerleader does a good job explaining why her school and community is nuts about Black Night football, and the similarities it has to Friday Night Lights!  She explains here!
